Description

The Raptor-SD / Talon Combo from Radian Weapons is built for AR-15/M16 shooters who want fully ambidextrous control over two of the most frequently used interfaces on the rifle — the charging handle and the safety selector — without mixing parts from different manufacturers or compromising the fit between them. Buying them as a matched set means both components share the same design language and finish, and Radian has engineered them to work together from the start rather than as an afterthought.

The Raptor-SD charging handle features a ported shaft, which vents gas away from the shooter’s face when running a suppressor. On an unsuppressed host this is a non-issue, but on a suppressed build the difference is immediately noticeable — back-pressure that would otherwise push combustion gas toward the ejection port and into the shooter’s line of sight is redirected before it gets there. The latch mechanism is fully ambidextrous, so either hand can manipulate the handle under the same effort without rerouting the support hand or breaking a firing grip.

The Talon safety selector operates at 45 and 90 degrees. The 45-degree detent position shortens the arc your thumb has to travel to reach fire from safe, which matters when speed matters and when your grip geometry doesn’t favor a full quarter-turn throw. The selector installs without screws, reducing the number of small parts involved in assembly and eliminating a common point of loosening under use. Both components are machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum and finished in Black anodize.
