The Radian Weapons Model 1 in 6mm ARC is built for the shooter who wants a compact, precision-oriented AR-platform rifle that can genuinely reach past the distances where standard 5.56 starts to lose authority. The 6mm ARC cartridge was developed specifically for AR-15-pattern rifles, offering a meaningful ballistic improvement over 5.56 NATO at extended range while still running in a standard-size platform — the tradeoff being that magazine capacity is reduced compared to 5.56 loads, which is why this rifle ships with a 20-round count on its included 30-round magazine rather than filling the tube with a smaller cartridge.

The 1-in-8 twist rate is a deliberate choice for 6mm ARC: it stabilizes the heavier, higher-BC projectiles that make the cartridge worth using at distance — roughly 103 to 108 grain bullets sit in its optimal window — while still handling lighter loads without the over-stabilization that a faster twist can introduce. The 14.5-inch barrel keeps the overall package compact without dropping into the pressure and velocity losses associated with much shorter configurations, and the threaded muzzle gives you the option to run a suppressor or muzzle device without an adapter.

Radian builds the Model 1 with fully ambidextrous controls throughout, including the Talon ambidextrous safety selector, which offers both 45- and 90-degree throw positions so the shooter can choose what suits their grip and training. The Raptor-SD charging handle is tuned for suppressor use, venting gas away from the shooter’s face. The upper receiver, lower receiver, and handguard are Cerakoted together as a matched set for consistent color. An ATC AR Gold match-grade trigger and an integrated M-LOK handguard with a stainless anti-rotation pin complete a package assembled with components that each carry a specific functional purpose rather than serving as checkboxes.
