Description
The Radian Weapons Model 1 is built for shooters who want a complete, professionally assembled AR-platform rifle without the compromise of piecing one together from mixed components. Every unit is hand-assembled and test-fired by a single gunsmith before it leaves the facility, which means the fit between the Cerakoted upper receiver, lower receiver, and extended aluminum handguard is verified as a matched set rather than assumed.
The .223 Wylde chamber is the practical reason to choose this over a standard 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington barrel. It accepts both cartridges while preserving the tighter leade geometry of a .223 Remington chamber, which keeps case expansion more consistent and tends to produce better groups with quality .223 ammunition than a pure 5.56 NATO chamber will. The 1-in-8 twist rate sits in useful middle ground: it stabilizes the heavier 75- to 77-grain projectiles favored for precision work without being over-spun for common 55-grain loads.
Controls are fully ambidextrous throughout. The Radian Raptor-SD charging handle is optimized for use with a suppressor attached, venting gas away from the shooter’s face. The Talon ambidextrous safety selector operates at both 45- and 90-degree throw positions, letting the shooter choose the stop angle that suits their grip and training. The ATC AR Gold trigger is a match-grade unit selected for consistent pull weight rather than a mil-spec component included as an afterthought. A Magpul collapsible stock rides on a six-position mil-spec receiver extension paired with an H2 carbine buffer, which adds weight to the bolt carrier’s rearward travel and softens the felt impulse of the cycling action. The rifle ships optic-ready with a 30-round magazine.
