The Radian Model 1 Upper and Handguard Set is built for the AR-15 shooter who wants a factory-matched, precision-machined platform rather than a mix of individually sourced components. Because the upper receiver and handguard are machined together from the same billet 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in a single Radian Cerakote Gray application, the fit, geometry, and color are consistent in a way that individually assembled components rarely achieve. Billet construction also allows Radian to add structural reinforcement at high-stress areas — around the barrel extension interface and handguard attachment points — without adding the wall thickness a casting or forging would require at those same locations.

The 14-inch M-LOK handguard attaches via four black nitride-coated steel cross bolts, a method that distributes clamping load evenly around the barrel nut and resists corrosion at the joint. M-LOK slots run the length and sides of the handguard, keeping the profile slim where you actually grip it while still giving you placement options for lights, slings, or other accessories at any position along the rail. The included Radian Raptor-SD is an ambidextrous charging handle, meaning both the left and right latch function independently — relevant if you run a suppressor or simply want bilateral manipulation without a separate adapter. The set ships with the dust cover, forward assist, anti-rotation pin, barrel nut, barrel nut wrench, cross bolts, washers, and nuts already included, so it drops onto a mil-spec lower without additional hardware.
