Description

The Radian Weapons AFTERBURNER + RAMJET is a barrel-and-compensator system built for Glock 19 Gen 3 shooters who want a meaningful reduction in felt recoil without threading their barrel or adding bulk to their muzzle. The two components work together: the RAMJET is a fluted, match-grade cut-rifled barrel machined from hardened 416R stainless steel, and the AFTERBURNER is a micro-compensator machined from hardened 17-4 stainless steel that locks onto the barrel’s muzzle end. Together they reduce recoil by 44 percent when shooting 115-grain ammunition — a figure that comes from the venting geometry of the compensator working in concert with the barrel’s gas-sealing chamber, not from the barrel alone.

The connection between the two is handled by Radian’s INTRA-LOK system, which uses a tapered locking pin that seats into a V-groove machined into the underside of the barrel. Because the interface is taper-locked rather than threaded, timing the compensator requires no Loctite, shims, or setscrews — installation and removal stay consistent without secondary fasteners. The angled front faces of the AFTERBURNER are shaped specifically to clear holster mouths during the draw, which matters practically if you plan to carry with this setup in place.

The barrel’s fluted profile reduces weight without sacrificing the rigidity needed for the match-grade rifling, and the Radianite coating applied to both components provides corrosion resistance and surface hardness.
