This matters because a compensator that couples to the barrel rather than the slide or frame redirects propellant gases more predictably, reducing muzzle rise at the source instead of managing it after the fact. Installation and removal require no gunsmithing and no thread protector to lose.

The Afterburner compensator is contoured to match the profile of a standard Glock slide, which keeps the combined package compact enough to fit most standard G19 holsters — a meaningful consideration if this pistol pulls duty beyond the range.

Both components are stainless steel finished in Radian’s Radianite coating in Bronze, a process that adds corrosion resistance and surface hardness without the dimensional buildup that can affect fitting.
