Description
The Radian Weapons A-DAC 15 lower receiver is built for shooters who run AR-15 platforms hard and want genuinely ambidextrous control rather than an adapter bolted onto a right-handed design. Radian machines it from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which means the receiver starts as a solid block rather than a casting, giving the walls consistent density throughout. The integral trigger guard and flared magazine well are cut from the same piece, so there are no junctions to work loose under extended use.
The centerpiece is the patented A-DAC — Ambidextrous Dual Action Catch. On a standard lower, locking the bolt open with your right hand requires breaking grip on the pistol grip to reach the bolt catch. The A-DAC lets a right-handed shooter do it without releasing the grip: pull the charging handle rearward, press the right-side magazine release button, then let the charging handle go — the bolt stays back. This is a meaningful procedural change during a reload under pressure, not a cosmetic addition. Left-handed shooters benefit equally from the mirrored controls: left-side magazine release paddle, right-side bolt release paddle, and the Radian Talon 45/90 ambidextrous safety selector with both long and short levers included.
The SART — Self-Adjusting Receiver Tensioner — is a spring-loaded plunger that takes up the play between upper and lower halves. Upper-to-lower fit varies across the wide universe of MIL-SPEC parts, and the SART compensates passively without requiring tools or shims. An enhanced takedown pin set and all other proprietary hardware ship with the receiver. The Radian Grey Cerakote finish ties into Radian’s broader AX556 modular system if you intend to match components.
