Description

The Raptor-LT is Radian Weapons’ answer to a recurring problem with large-frame AR charging handles: the factory latch design forces a shooter to break grip or compromise technique when clearing malfunctions or charging from the support hand. The Raptor-LT solves this with the same patented ambidextrous latch geometry found on Radian’s original Raptor, giving both hands equal, positive purchase on the handle without requiring the shooter to reach awkwardly across the upper receiver.

Where the standard Raptor is machined entirely from aluminum, the LT variant takes a different approach to managing weight. The core is still 7075 aluminum — the same alloy used in aircraft structural components — machined and then MILSPEC Type III hard anodized for corrosion and wear resistance. Over that core, Radian applies a fiberglass-reinforced polymer overmold to the latch wings. That combination lets the handle shed meaningful mass compared to an all-metal design while keeping the areas that take impact and stress in metal where it matters. For an AR-10 or SR-25 pattern rifle that already carries more weight than a 5.56 build, that reduction is worth having.

The Black finish is anodized to match standard Magpul color offerings, which matters if you’re building a coordinated kit. This is a drop-in fit for AR-10 and SR-25 pattern rifles chambered for 7.62mm, with no gunsmithing required.
