Description

The Radian Weapons Talon is an ambidextrous safety selector built for AR-15 and AR-10/SR25-pattern rifles, and it suits left-handed shooters, competition shooters, and anyone who has found the standard mil-spec selector awkward to reach under pressure. The defining feature is its modular shaft design: rotating the shaft 180 degrees inside the lower receiver converts the selector between a standard 90-degree arc and a 45-degree short-throw, so you can dial in whichever geometry matches your grip and shooting discipline without swapping parts or buying a separate unit.

The levers attach via a precision-machined dovetail interface rather than screws. A spring-loaded retention stud locks each lever in place, which eliminates the failure mode of a set screw backing out during a course of fire or extended use. The kit includes both a short lever and a long lever, letting you mix configurations on the safe and fire sides to suit your dominant and support hands independently.

Levers are machined from billet aircraft-grade aluminum and finished in either Mil-Spec Type 3 Hard Coat Anodize or Cerakote depending on the color variant. The FDE version uses Cerakote to achieve the earth-tone finish, which also provides a degree of surface protection. The selector shaft carries US Patent No. 9557128.
