Description

The Reptilia CQG-L is a pistol grip designed specifically for compact AR-platform builds — short-barreled rifles, AR pistols, pistol caliber carbines, and PDWs — where a standard-length grip can feel awkward or limit control. Compared to the original CQG, the CQG-L adds 0.5 inches of grip length, which makes a meaningful difference for shooters with larger hands or those who find the standard grip leaves their pinky partially unsupported.

The geometry centers on a more pronounced vertical angle than a traditional AR grip. That steeper pitch shifts the wrist into a more neutral position, which reduces the tendency for the shooting hand to break inward under recoil and helps maintain consistent trigger finger placement across follow-up shots. The enhanced beavertail extends the grip tang upward, pushing the hand higher on the frame and lowering the bore axis relative to the palm — a mechanical advantage that translates directly into recoil management on lighter, shorter builds that can be more abrupt in the hand.

Texture runs across both the front and rear straps, giving purchase without abrading the support hand on a long range session. The grip is constructed from toughened, reinforced nylon, which keeps weight at 3.1 oz while handling the mechanical stress of hard use. It ships with a grip screw and lock washer, so installation on any AR-15, AR-10, SR-25, Sig Sauer MCX, or FN SCAR-16/17 requires no additional hardware. Finish is matte black. Made in the USA.
