Description

The Reptilia Picker is an ambidextrous safety selector built for AR-platform shooters who want consistent, grip-neutral operation regardless of which hand is on the trigger. Because the selector paddle is accessible from either side of the lower, left-handed shooters can disengage the safety without shifting their grip, and right-handed shooters running support-side manipulations get the same benefit during training drills.

The selector rotates through a 70-degree arc from safe to fire. That shorter throw compared to the standard mil-spec 90-degree rotation means the thumb travels less distance to clear the detent, which can shave a meaningful margin off the transition from safe to ready under time pressure. The trade-off is a slightly tighter feel at the detent, which some shooters prefer as positive confirmation the selector has seated.

The body is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hard anodize in Flat Dark Earth. The Type III hard coat is a dense, wear-resistant surface treatment that holds up to repeated manipulation and holstering cycles better than standard anodize. Compatibility is designed around mil-spec lower receivers, so it installs without fitting work on most standard AR-15 builds.
