Description
The Reptilia ROF-90 is built for shooters running a magnified optic on a 34mm Reptilia AUS Mount or Geissele Super Precision mount who need a second optic immediately available without breaking their primary sight picture. Rather than a standalone mount, it is a drop-in addition to one of those two specific hosts — worth understanding before purchase, because it will not function independently or on other ring systems.
The concept is straightforward: the ROF-90 positions an Aimpoint ACRO P1, ACRO P2, or Steiner MPS at 90 degrees to the bore axis, sitting at the 12 o’clock position over the primary scope. Rolling the rifle slightly brings the red dot into use for close-range work or passive night-vision aiming without touching the magnified optic at all. The geometry of each ROF variant is worked out to keep the red dot as close to the scope’s centerline as practical while maintaining a usable sight picture through both optics.
Reptilia machines the ROF-90 from billet 7075-T6 aluminum and applies a MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodize — in this case, Flat Dark Earth. That anodize class is a hard, wear-resistant surface treatment rather than a paint or cerakote, which matters on a part that will see regular contact during optic transitions. The finished weight comes in at 35 grams, light enough that adding a small red dot to an existing mount setup carries a meaningful but modest mass penalty. Made in the USA.
