Description
The 1 Tactix ARD 2 is built for carbines, AR pistols, and similar short-range platforms where a clean, fast sight picture matters more than magnification. It is a practical choice for home defense, range work, or any role where you need to get on target quickly without fussing with a scope.
The optic gives you two reticle options on demand: a 2 MOA dot for shots where precision is the priority, and a 30 MOA circle surrounding that same 2 MOA dot when you need faster target acquisition at close range. The circle pulls your eye to the center instinctively, which speeds up the draw-to-shot sequence without sacrificing the dot’s precision once you’re there. Switching between the two lets you match the reticle to the task rather than compromising on one or the other.
Nine brightness levels span the full range from bright daylight down to low-light conditions, with the dimmest setting compatible with night vision devices. That range matters in practice — a dot that washes out in sunlight or blinds you in a dark structure is a liability, and having a dedicated NV-compatible setting means the optic doesn’t become a single-condition tool.
The body is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum as a one-piece tube and finished with Type III Hard Coat Anodize, which resists surface wear and holds up to field handling. The lenses are fully multi-coated, and Riton nitrogen-purges and seals the housing to prevent fogging when temperature or humidity shifts. Two mount heights are included — a lower third co-witness and a low mount — so you can set the optic height to match your iron sights or preferred cheek weld without sourcing additional hardware.
