Description

The Riton QD Cantilever Mount is built for shooters who run a 34mm-tube scope on a flat-top rifle and need to pull the optic off and return it to zero without a tools-and-torque ritual. The cantilever design offsets the scope forward, which is the practical solution when a standard ring placement would push the eyepiece too far back for a comfortable cheek weld on an AR-pattern stock — a geometry problem that a straight mount on the same rail position simply cannot fix.

The body is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, a material choice that keeps weight down without sacrificing the rigidity the zero-return function depends on. Riton finishes it in Black Anodize, which hardens the surface against the kind of handling wear a QD mount sees when it is actually being detached and reattached in the field rather than left on the rifle permanently.

The throw levers use an integrated trigger-release mechanism, meaning accidental opening under recoil or handling is engineered out rather than just unlikely. Rail tension is set on the opposite side of the lever with a locking nut, so you can dial in fit to your specific Picatinny rail without compromising the throw lever’s clamping geometry. An Allen key is included to handle the cap screws, which Riton specifies at 15 inch-pounds — enough to secure the scope without over-torquing the rings. Scope centerline sits at 1.79 inches above the rail, positioning most medium-to-large objective lenses clear of the gas block without requiring a separate riser.
