Description
The Riton 5 Primal 2-12×44 IR is a hunting scope built for shooters who need genuine versatility across varied terrain and conditions — from dense timber where shots come fast and close, to open country where game stays at a respectful distance. The 6x zoom range handles both ends of that spectrum without requiring a different optic for each situation. At the low end, the wider field of view makes it practical when an animal steps out unexpectedly at close range; dialing up to the top of the range gives you the resolution to read an animal and place a shot carefully at distance.
The RDH reticle was designed with hunting in mind. The illuminated center dot functions as a precise aiming point without the surrounding reticle lines cluttering the view when your attention narrows under pressure. Six brightness levels let you match the illumination to ambient light — whether you are shooting into a shaded treeline at dusk or in the full glare of midday. When the illumination is not needed, the standard reticle remains fully usable, so you are not dependent on a battery to shoot.
The tube is constructed from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, which provides a favorable strength-to-weight ratio and resists the mechanical stress of repeated recoil. Riton’s HD glass is built for 99.5% light transmission, and the fully multi-coated lenses include anti-reflective and low-light enhancement coatings — both practical advantages when legal shooting hours push into the margins of the day. The optic is nitrogen-purged and sealed against moisture and fog. Impact testing to 1,200 Gs and airgun rating reflect a construction standard meant to survive field use rather than just range sessions, and the Riton Limited Lifetime Warranty backs the optic long-term.
