Description

The Rugged Suppressors Fixed Barrel Spacer is a mounting component designed specifically for use with the Obsidian suppressor series on fixed-barrel hosts such as carbines and subguns. Where a pistol-style host relies on a reciprocating slide or tilting barrel to function, a fixed-barrel host requires a different interface to properly seat and tension the suppressor — that is exactly the gap this spacer fills.

It works by replacing the spring found in the standard Obsidian piston assembly. Rather than allowing the spring to manage movement between the can and the host, the Fixed Barrel Spacer creates a solid, stable connection suited to the stationary barrel geometry of a carbine or subgun. The result is a properly tensioned fit without introducing any unwanted play at the mount interface.

One pairing restriction is worth understanding before you order: the Fixed Barrel Spacer is not compatible with the Fixed Mount or the 3 Lug Mount. It is intended for use with the Obsidian piston, and selecting the wrong mount combination would undermine the mechanical relationship the spacer is designed to establish. If you are running either of those mounts, a different configuration is required.

This is a purpose-built interface part, not a universal adapter. If you are expanding an existing Obsidian setup from a pistol host to a carbine or subgun platform, the Fixed Barrel Spacer is the correct component to complete that transition.
