Description

The SBT5-22™ from SB Tactical is a pistol stabilizing brace built specifically for the HK and Umarex MP5 .22LR platform. It is a direct replacement for the factory end cap, giving you a meaningful upgrade in control without requiring a gunsmith or special tools — the complete assembly is ready to install out of the box.

The core of the design is an integral side-folding mechanism molded into the polymer end cap itself. Folding braces on .22LR pistols serve a practical purpose beyond compactness: keeping the firearm flat for transport and storage while allowing you to deploy quickly into a two-point contact hold when you are ready to shoot. Because the fold is built into the end cap rather than bolted on as a separate adapter, there are no stacked interfaces adding length or wobble between the brace and the receiver.

The end cap also includes a QD socket, which lets you run a single-point or two-point sling directly from the rear of the firearm without adding a separate sling mount. The adjustable nylon strap provides the forearm purchase that defines a stabilizing brace — it wraps around your shooting arm to help manage the pistol with one hand if needed. At 13 ounces, the assembly adds meaningful weight aft, which tends to balance a compact .22LR pistol more comfortably during extended range work.
