The body is hand-laid carbon fiber rather than polymer or aluminum, which keeps the total loaded-feeling weight low while giving the magazine enough rigidity to handle hard field use without flexing under spring tension.

The internal geometry is the more consequential design choice here. Seekins engineered the magazine around a maximum cartridge overall length of 3.9 inches, which gives handloaders in particular room to seat heavier, longer projectiles out closer to the lands rather than cramming them back to fit a shorter box. That same geometry is why the magazine covers a range of long-action magnum cartridges — the 28 Nosler listed here shares that internal space with rounds like 7mm Rem Mag, .300 Win Mag, 300 PRC, and 338 Win Mag, all of which push into that length envelope. A three-round capacity is a straightforward concession to the physical size of those cartridges in a package that still fits the rifle’s profile.

One compatibility point worth understanding before ordering: this magazine is built around Seekins’ own proprietary detachable box magazine system. It will not drop into an AICS-pattern bottom metal.
