Description

The Sig Sauer Hexium 5.56 Titanium is built for shooters who run gas-operated rifles hard and want to reduce the gas and carbon that traditionally gets pushed back toward the action and the shooter. The core problem it addresses is back pressure: conventional baffle-stack suppressors slow and redirect expanding gases in ways that can over-gas a rifle, accelerate fouling inside the action, and expose the shooter to blowback. The Hexium takes a different approach entirely.

Rather than a stack of individually machined baffles welded together, the Hexium is produced through additive manufacturing — 3D metal printing in Grade 5 titanium. That process allows internal geometries that cannot be cut on a lathe or mill: a ported blast baffle leading into a series of asymmetric, staggered chambers braced longitudinally and connected by open pathways. The effect is a flow-through design that routes expanding gas forward and out the muzzle end rather than back through the action. The practical result is a cyclic rate that stays closer to unsuppressed behavior, a cleaner rifle, and reduced blowback for the shooter.

Because the entire structure is grown as a single piece rather than assembled from components, there are no welds or seams to crack under heat or to trap carbon. The titanium construction keeps weight down to 11 ounces — a meaningful consideration on a rifle carried in the field or staged at a competition. The direct-thread mount ships in the box and the 1.375×24 HUB thread pattern on the suppressor body means it will also accept quick-detach HUB-compatible mounts if your setup calls for fast transitions. The front end cap is modular, allowing accessories or alternate caps to be fitted at the muzzle end.
