Description
The P226X Legion SAO is built for the shooter who wants a platform tuned for deliberate, precise work rather than a general-purpose carry gun. The single-action-only trigger removes the double-action first shot entirely, so every press starts from the same short, consistent position — an advantage on the range or in competition where predictability matters more than the DA/SA transitional pull most P226 variants require.
The optics-ready slide is cut to the SIG-LOC Pro footprint, which accepts the ROMEO1Pro, ROMEO2, DPP, and RMR families without an adapter plate. That keeps the optic lower over the bore and preserves the balance the frame was designed around. The X-RAY3 Day/Night sights co-witness with a mounted optic and remain fully usable as a standalone system if you run the pistol irons-only.
At 3.8 inches, the barrel is shorter than the standard P226’s 4.4-inch tube, trimming overall length for easier handling at close distances without giving up the full-size alloy steel frame underneath. That frame geometry keeps mass forward, which helps with muzzle control during rapid strings. The grip panels are G10 Legion Pattern by Hogue, which hold up to sweat and compressed grips better than standard polymer panels. An undercut trigger guard allows a higher hand position, and the ambidextrous thumb safety is operable from either side without adjusting your grip. Three flush-fit 10-round steel magazines are included, and the platform shares parts compatibility with the X5 slide, controls, and trigger group.
