Description
The P365-380 is Sig Sauer’s answer to a specific problem: shooters who find the original P365 in 9mm difficult to rack or uncomfortable to shoot but still want the same compact footprint for everyday carry. By chambering the platform in .380 ACP, Sig was able to use a lighter recoil spring, which meaningfully reduces the force required to cycle the slide — a practical advantage for shooters with limited hand strength or wrist mobility, not just a marketing distinction.
The pistol is built on the same frame geometry as the standard P365, so anyone already familiar with that grip angle and control layout transitions without relearning anything. The striker-fired action gives a consistent trigger pull from the first round to the last, with no external hammer to snag on a cover garment. There is no manual thumb safety on this model, which keeps the draw-to-fire sequence simple and repeatable under stress — a deliberate trade-off that suits shooters who train for consistent presentation rather than those who prefer a mechanical off switch.
SIGLITE night sights are factory-installed tritium units, not a sight package that needs to be added later. They provide a usable sight picture in low light without batteries or activation — relevant for a pistol carried specifically for self-defense. Two ten-round magazines are included. The Nitron finish on the slide is Sig’s own corrosion-resistant treatment, suited to the demands of daily carry where the pistol sees sweat, humidity, and frequent handling.
