Description
The SIG SAUER ROMEO-X in its Enclosed Pro configuration is built for pistol shooters who want a reflex sight that stays sealed against the environment without sacrificing the broad, unobstructed view that open-emitter designs offer. The enclosed housing protects the LED emitter and lens from debris, moisture, and the kind of abuse that comes with regular carry or range use — a meaningful practical difference from open-emitter sights where the emitter is exposed to whatever the shooter’s environment throws at it.
The Sig-Loc Pro footprint is a direct-mount system designed around SIG’s own slide cut standard, which means pistols cut for Sig-Loc accept the Romeo-X without adapter plates. Eliminating the adapter lowers the sight’s overall height above the bore and removes a potential point of movement between the optic and the slide. For shooters running a pistol already cut to that footprint, this is a straightforward fit.
The Circle Dot reticle gives the shooter two aiming references in one: the center dot for precision work at distance and the surrounding circle for fast target acquisition up close, where the eye naturally draws to the larger shape. At 1x, there is no magnification to manage, so the image through the optic matches the shooter’s natural field of view — both eyes open shooting is the intended use case. The housing is machined from 7075 aluminum and the sight carries an IPX-7 water resistance rating, meaning it is designed to function after brief submersion. Battery type is CR1632, and the illumination source is an LED running in red.
