Description

The Sig Sauer Tread Two-Stage Trigger Kit is a direct drop-in upgrade for M4/AR-15, M400, MCX, and 516 pattern rifles. It is aimed at shooters who find a standard mil-spec trigger holding them back on longer-range targets or in competition, where a vague, heavy break translates directly into shot-to-shot inconsistency.

A two-stage trigger separates the pull into two distinct phases. The first stage takes up slack and provides a clear, tactile wall that tells the shooter exactly where the break is about to occur. Pressing through that wall into the second stage releases the hammer with a clean, consistent break — a mechanical characteristic that a single-stage trigger, which fires anywhere across its travel, cannot replicate. That wall is particularly valuable when shooting deliberately at distance, because the shooter can pre-position on the second stage without firing, then apply final pressure when ready.

The flat blade geometry changes the leverage geometry compared to a curved bow. Because the finger contacts the shoe at a consistent height regardless of hand size or grip angle, the effective trigger weight feels more predictable from shot to shot. The kit ships complete with a trigger, hammer, disconnector, springs, and pins, so no additional components are required to complete the installation in a standard lower receiver. All parts are steel construction. Total pull weight is approximately 5 lbs, which sits within mil-spec range while still delivering a cleaner and more defined break than a standard mil-spec group at that same weight.
