Description

The Safariland Model 6004 Small Tactical Plate with Drop Flex Adapter is a mounting and carry system designed for professionals and serious shooters who need a leg-mounted holster platform that stays put under dynamic movement. It is not a holster itself, but rather the foundational hardware that positions and stabilizes a Safariland holster on the thigh.

The Drop Flex Adapter replaces the standard vertical leg strap attachment and shifts the entire system higher on the thigh. That change matters because a lower-riding holster increases leverage on the leg, which compounds fatigue and can allow the holster to shift during movement. Riding higher reduces that lever arm and keeps the draw position more consistent. The DFA also introduces a degree of flex at the connection point, which allows the holster to move with the body rather than working against it during crouching, climbing, or vehicle entry and exit.

The plate itself is MOLLE-compatible, providing attachment points for two Safariland tactical accessories directly on the thigh plate — useful for adding a torch, tourniquet, or other ancillary gear without adding a separate mounting solution. The silicone leg strap grips the thigh rather than relying solely on cinch pressure, which helps prevent the platform from rotating or sliding down over extended wear.
