The Safariland 6354RDSO is a duty-grade outside-the-waistband holster built around one specific design problem: how to securely carry a red-dot-equipped pistol with a weapon-mounted light without sacrificing a fast, consistent draw. This variant is cut for the Glock 19 MOS paired with a SureFire X300, and finished in Ranger Green for units or operators working within that color standard.

Retention is handled by Safariland’s Automatic Locking System. ALS works by mechanically capturing the firearm at the trigger guard the moment it is fully seated — no manual step required to lock up. The draw stroke releases it with a thumb motion that flows naturally into a firing grip, so the retention engagement does not add a separate action; it integrates into the draw itself. This matters most in dynamic situations where a conscious two-step sequence becomes a liability.

The RDSO designation distinguishes this holster from Safariland’s standard RDS line. Where an RDS holster uses a hinged dust cover to protect the optic, the RDSO uses an open pocket — the optic rides exposed but protected by the holster body’s geometry.
