Description
The Safariland 6354RDSO is built for serious duty and tactical use — it suits law enforcement, military personnel, and trained civilians who carry a weapon-mounted light and need a retention system that keeps pace with their work. This particular configuration is cut for the Glock 34 and 35 with a SureFire X300 attached, so the holster body accounts for the added length and width of the light rather than forcing a compromised fit.
Retention is handled by Safariland’s ALS — Automatic Locking System — which secures the pistol at the trigger guard the moment it seats. To draw, the shooter sweeps a thumb lever that releases the lock in the same motion used to obtain a firing grip, meaning the draw stroke itself disengages retention without requiring a separate preparatory step. That design trades away the deliberate, two-handed security of a Level III system for a faster one-handed presentation, which is the right call for a duty holster intended to be drawn under stress.
The holster ships with a QLS 19 fork, which is the receiver half of Safariland’s Quick Locking System. The fork attaches to the holster body and mates with a corresponding QLS 22 or QLS 22R plate mounted on any compatible belt or leg platform, allowing the holster to be moved between carry rigs without tools and without disturbing zero on either component. This variant is finished in Camo Green with a laminate construction and configured for right-hand draw. The matte surface avoids light reflection without requiring additional treatment.
