Description
The Safariland 6354RDSO is built for duty and tactical use where a pistol-mounted red dot sight and a weapon light are both part of the carry setup. This particular configuration fits the Glock 34 and 35 paired with a SureFire X300, and it is cut for right-hand draw in Multicam laminate construction.
The core retention mechanism is Safariland’s Automatic Locking System (ALS). When the pistol is holstered, ALS engages automatically, securing the firearm without any additional manual step from the user. To draw, the shooter sweeps a thumb lever as the hand grips the pistol — a single, consistent motion that releases retention and allows the draw to continue uninterrupted. This differs from the standard RDS series: the RDSO design uses an open-top pocket rather than a flip-up dust cover, which means the optic sits in open air rather than being enclosed. The trade-off is a cleaner, faster presentation with no cover to clear, while the body of the holster still protects the optic housing on its sides and provides a stable seating surface.
Mounting is handled through Safariland’s QLS system. The holster ships with a QLS 19 Locking Fork installed, which mates to any platform equipped with a QLS 22 Receiver Plate — belt loops, leg shrouds, and similar mounts that use that receiver. This lets the user transfer the holster between mounting platforms without tools and without changing the holster body itself. Multicam laminate construction keeps the profile low-profile and pattern-consistent for users working in that environment.
