Description

The Safariland 6354RDSO is a duty holster built specifically for law enforcement and tactical professionals running a Glock 47 with a weapon-mounted light such as the SureFire X300. It is designed from the ground up to accommodate red dot optics — the open pocket construction cradles the sight body without the need for a flip-up dust cover, so the optic is protected during carry without adding any manipulation steps on the draw.

Retention is handled by the Automatic Locking System (ALS), which secures the pistol automatically the moment it is seated. A single, learned thumb motion defeats the lock on the draw stroke, making the release fast and consistent under pressure without requiring a separate hood or strap to clear. This contrasts with Safariland’s RDS series, which uses a different pocket geometry — the RDSO’s open-top design is the key distinction for shooters running tall optics that would otherwise conflict with a closed dust cover.

The holster is right-hand draw only and ships with a QLS 19 Fork, which allows it to interface with the Quick Locking System rail for platform-agnostic mounting — the fork can be detached and swapped to any QLS-compatible platform without tools.
