Description

The Safariland 6360 is a mid-ride duty holster built for sworn officers and armed professionals who need a retention system that holds securely through a foot pursuit but doesn’t slow them down when it counts. It combines two of Safariland’s retention systems—the Automatic Locking System (ALS) and the Self-Locking System (SLS)—to deliver Level III retention without stacking multiple deliberate unlocking steps on top of each other in a way that fights the draw.

The ALS handles the inner layer: an internal lock engages automatically the moment the pistol is fully seated, securing the firearm in every direction without any manual action from the wearer. To draw, the shooter sweeps the SLS hood down and forward with the firing hand, which naturally positions the thumb over the ALS release lever. Moving the lever slightly rearward while lifting the pistol straight up clears the holster cleanly—no grip adjustment needed, because the thumb ends up in a ready firing position as a consequence of the release motion rather than as a separate step. Re-holstering is equally straightforward: seat the pistol until it clicks, then flip the hood back up. The holster acknowledges when retention is fully re-engaged rather than leaving the officer to guess.

This variant is molded for the Glock 17 and 22 fitted with a weapon-mounted light, in STX Tactical Black finish, configured for right-hand draw. The mid-ride mounting position keeps the grip close to the body for a stable carry position during extended wear. Compatible lights include the ITI M3, Streamlight TLR-1, and SureFire X200 and X300.
