Description
The Safariland Model 6360 is a mid-ride duty holster built for officers and armed professionals who carry a Glock 17 or Glock 22 with a weapon-mounted light. It combines two independent retention systems — the ALS (Automatic Locking System) and the SLS (Self Locking System) — into a single package, giving it Level III retention without requiring a multi-step draw sequence that would slow a trained shooter down significantly.
When the pistol is holstered, the ALS engages automatically, locking the weapon in place against movement in any direction. To draw, the thumb releases the ALS, after which the SLS rotating hood sweeps clear and the firearm comes straight out — no rocking or rotating the muzzle required. That straight-draw path is worth noting because it keeps the muzzle pointed in a consistent direction throughout the presentation and simplifies training.
The holster body is constructed from SafariLaminate, Safariland’s proprietary material that gives the exterior a leather appearance while maintaining the dimensional stability of a hard-shell design. Inside, a suede lining contacts the slide and sights directly, reducing the finish wear and sight damage that bare polymer interiors can cause over thousands of draw cycles. The mid-ride belt loop positions the holster close to the body, which keeps the grip accessible without the holster swinging away from the hip during movement. This variant is configured for right-hand carry and finished in STX Plain Black.
