Description
The Safariland Model 6378 is built for plainclothes and concealment carry, making it a practical choice for detectives, off-duty officers, and armed professionals who need duty-grade retention without the bulk of a full-size tactical holster. The paddle and included 567BL belt loop attachments give you two mounting options from a single holster, so you can shift between a paddle setup for quick on-and-off and a belt loop configuration for a more secure, close-riding carry.
The core of the design is Safariland’s Automatic Locking System. When the pistol seats into the holster, the ALS engages instantly and mechanically locks the firearm in place — no manual step required on the draw side. To draw, a thumb sweep of the release lever disengages the retention, and the pistol comes straight up without any rotational or outward cant required. That straight-up draw path keeps the motion consistent under stress and reduces the relearning curve if you’re transitioning from a paddle-style duty rig. The holster body is constructed from SafariLaminate with an STX Tactical finish, which provides a durable exterior that resists abrasion and holds its shape through extended wear. A suede interior lining protects the pistol’s finish from scratching during repeated holstering cycles. The slight forward cant encourages the holster to ride close to the body, which matters for concealment under a jacket. Fits the Glock 17 in right-hand configuration.
