SL 6378 ALS FOR GLK 19 W/LGHT STB RH

Description

The Safariland 6378 is a concealment holster built around the Automatic Locking System (ALS) — a retention mechanism designed for carriers who need genuine security without the draw-stroke penalty that comes with thumb-break or level-two systems. The moment the pistol seats fully in the holster, the ALS locks the firearm in place without any manual step required. To draw, you sweep your thumb across the release while establishing a firing grip, so the deactivation happens as part of the same motion you’re already making. There is no separate step to remember under stress.

The 6378 is fitted specifically for the Glock 19 with a weapon light attached, meaning the shell accounts for the added depth and width of the light body. Running a light without a light-specific holster is a common source of poor retention and awkward fit; this holster solves that by being cut to the actual envelope of the equipped pistol. The STX Tactical finish is Safariland’s matte, non-reflective exterior laminate — a practical choice for concealed or low-profile carry where surface sheen is a liability.

Construction uses SafariLaminate with a wraparound structure, which distributes stress across the shell rather than concentrating it at a single bond line. The interior is lined with SafariSuede to protect the pistol’s finish and prevent the front sight from catching on the draw. Carry options are included out of the box: the holster ships with both a contoured injection-molded paddle and the 567BL belt loop, the latter fitting belts from 1.5 to 1.75 inches wide. The paddle’s geometry positions the pistol close to the body with a slight forward cant, which shortens the reach on the draw and reduces printing for concealed carry. Right-hand orientation.
