Description

The Safariland 7360RDS is a duty holster built for officers and armed professionals who run a red dot optic on their Glock 47 and need retention that matches the demands of daily carry. The RDS designation means the holster’s internal geometry is cut to clear a mounted optic without compromising fit or indexing — a standard holster shell would either bind against the optic or leave the pistol loose enough to shift under retention.

Retention is handled by two layered systems. The Automatic Locking System engages the moment the pistol seats, securing it without any manual step from the shooter. Releasing it takes only a thumb motion, which keeps the draw stroke simple and consistent under stress. The Self Locking System adds a rotating hood over the ejection port side, requiring a second deliberate action before the ALS can be disengaged — that two-step sequence is what earns the Level III rating and what makes unauthorized removal significantly more difficult.

The shell is formed from SafariSeven, Safariland’s proprietary nylon blend, rather than traditional polymer or leather. The material is non-abrasive against the slide and finish, and its structure is unaffected by prolonged water immersion or temperature extremes that would cause conventional polymer to become brittle or warp. Raised internal surfaces keep the pistol slightly off the holster wall, which lets moisture and debris clear the contact area rather than sitting against the frame. The mid-ride belt loop positions the muzzle end close enough to the body to reduce torque on the belt during movement, which matters on a full-size platform like the G47. This variant is configured for right-hand draw and finishes in plain black.
