The 14.5-inch barrel runs a mid-length gas system, which compared to a carbine-length setup extends the dwell time curve in a way that tends to produce a smoother, more progressive recoil impulse — relevant when running the rifle at extended range where shot-to-shot recovery matters. The barrel itself is 416 stainless steel with a QPQ melt nitride finish, giving it corrosion resistance alongside the surface hardness that comes from the nitriding process rather than from a coating sitting on top of the steel. The NOX flash hider is pinned and welded to bring the overall barrel length to 16 inches.

SOLGW’s 13-inch L89 M-LOK handguard is free-floated, so the barrel sees no contact pressure from the support hand or any mounted hardware — a meaningful factor for consistency at distance. The receiver is forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a matte black hard-coat anodized finish. Inside the lower, a Liberty two-stage trigger is fitted from the factory; the two-stage design gives a defined first-stage take-up that helps shooters time a precise break without creep at the wall. Ambidextrous controls — charging handle, safety, and bolt release — are standard, not an upgrade. The A5 buffer system and a B5 Bravo stock round out a package that ships with two 20-round magazines and a soft rifle case.
