Description

The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Liberty Fighting Trigger is built for shooters who want something noticeably more consistent than a standard mil-spec fire control group without trading away the mechanical reliability that a working rifle demands. SOLGW designed it as the baseline trigger in their own production rifles, which tells you something about the intent: this is not a range-day novelty but a component meant to function under real use.

The single-stage design means there is no take-up stage to manage — pressure builds directly to the break, which simplifies the firing sequence and makes the reset easier to use quickly. Where a typical mil-spec trigger can vary considerably from one example to the next, the LFT is engineered to land consistently between 6 and 6.5 pounds, so the pull you get at installation is the pull you train with. The trigger and hammer receive a Nickel PTFE coating — what SOLGW calls their Nickel Teflon finish — which reduces friction across the engagement surfaces and helps maintain that consistency over time and round count without demanding constant lubrication.

Internally, the group uses KNS QPQ stainless trigger and hammer pins at mil-spec .154 inches, which means this drops into any standard AR-15 lower without fitting work. Mil-spec springs are included, along with a stainless slave pin that holds the trigger and hammer assembly together during installation — a genuine convenience that makes seating the group in the lower receiver straightforward. The curved trigger bow is a considered choice: it distributes finger pressure more evenly through the pull compared to a straight bow, which contributes to the smooth, consistent feel the design is built around.
