Description
Sons of Liberty Gun Works built this complete lower around a specific piece of American history: the “Rebellious Stripes” flag adopted by the Sons of Liberty in 1767, featuring nine uneven vertical stripes in red and white. That roll mark isn’t decorative filler — it’s a deliberate statement about the company’s identity, and it shows up on a receiver that’s actually worth putting a quality upper on.
The lower is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum, the same alloy used in mil-spec bolts and carriers, which gives it a better strength-to-weight ratio than 6061 — useful when you’re taking the receiver in and out of a bag repeatedly or running it hard. The Type III Hard Coat anodize with R5 Bright Dip isn’t a standard matte black; it’s a two-stage finish process that results in a deeper, more uniform surface hardness and a slight sheen that distinguishes it from a plain Type III job. The low-shelf forging means it accepts standard mil-spec lower parts without modification.
SOLGW includes their LFT trigger, which breaks more cleanly than a standard mil-specoldie and reduces the take-up that makes rapid follow-up shots harder to call. A mil-spec safety, B5 grip, and an intermediate buffer system round out the package, so you can mount a complete upper and have a functioning rifle without sourcing additional components. The intermediate buffer is a reasonable starting point for most mid-length and carbine gas systems. No stock is included, which keeps your options open for whatever length of pull or folding arrangement suits your build.
