Description

The Steiner M7Xi IFS in 2.9-20x is a first-focal-plane riflescope designed for precision shooters who need the scope to function equally well at close observation distances and at the extended ranges where first-focal-plane reticle scaling becomes essential. Because the MSR2 reticle scales with magnification, holdover and ranging calculations remain accurate at any power setting — you are not locked into a specific magnification to use the reticle’s subtensions correctly. That matters most when conditions or targets change faster than you can dial to a fixed power.

The IFS — Intelligent Firing Solution — is the system that separates this optic from a conventional riflescope. A built-in ballistic calculator and sensor suite determine bullet point of impact in real time and project that data directly into the field of view as an individually configurable display. The display can show leveling information and current turret position, so you know your hold without shifting focus away from the target. Bluetooth connectivity allows the display layout and active data fields to be configured or rearranged through a companion smartphone app, and any element can be deactivated if the application calls for a cleaner view.

The 34mm main tube is a structural choice that also expands the internal travel envelope, giving the elevation and windage adjustments room to cover the demands of longer shooting distances. The turrets are deliberately low-profile to preserve rail space forward of the scope — useful when pairing the optic with a clip-on thermal or night vision device without repositioning rings. The scope runs on CR2032 or AA battery and is covered by Steiner’s Heritage warranty.
