Description
The EOTech Vudu 1-6×24 is built for shooters who need a single optic to handle both close-quarters work and extended shots on the same platform. The SR-3 reticle is the reason most people reach for this particular variant: it pairs the iconic EOTech speed ring — a large, fast acquisition circle designed to be used with both eyes open at 1x — with a ballistic drop compensator calibrated for 5.56mm out to 600 yards using 75-grain BTHP ammunition. That pairing means you are not giving up close-range speed to gain the ranging capability, which is the core trade-off in most LPVO reticle designs.
Because the reticle sits on the first focal plane, the BDC subtensions stay accurate at any magnification setting. On a second focal plane scope, holds are only correct at one specific power level; here, if you dial to 3x to engage a target mid-range, the drop marks still track true. The green illumination keeps the reticle legible in low-contrast conditions without washing out the target picture the way a thicker red reticle can at close range.
The tube and body are machined from aircraft-grade aluminum in a single-piece construction, which eliminates the jointed interfaces that can shift zero under hard use. The optic is manufactured in Japan. The 30mm tube diameter gives the internal erector more room to travel than a 1-inch tube, which widens the range of usable adjustment without pushing the optic to the edge of its mechanical limits — useful when mounting on a flat-top rifle that may not sit perfectly level with your zero distance.
