Description

The Aviator was designed for pilots and anyone whose work takes them between white-light tasks and conditions where preserving night-adapted vision matters. It carries two completely separate light sources in a single sealed head: a white LED for general illumination and a red LED for situations where you need to read a chart, move through a dark environment, or stay oriented without blowing out your night vision. No filter is involved — you rotate the self-locking selector ring at the bezel to shift between white, red, or a system-disable position that prevents the light from firing accidentally in a bag or pocket.

Each spectrum offers two output levels. The white side delivers its maximum output for tasks that demand real reach, while the lower setting trades intensity for a significantly extended runtime — useful when you need sustained light rather than peak brightness. The red LED follows the same logic: a higher output for active illumination, a lower one that can run for hours without drawing down the battery. Switching between high and low happens at the tailcap, so you never have to break your grip or reach the bezel to adjust.

The body is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and finished with Mil-Spec hard anodizing, which is harder and more abrasion-resistant than standard anodizing. The head is O-ring and gasket sealed, and the lens is a coated, tempered window that protects the TIR optic inside. That TIR lens shapes both the white and red beams without needing separate reflectors for each channel. Power comes from a single CR123A, which is included and has a ten-year shelf life in storage — relevant if this lives in a flight bag or emergency kit for months between uses.
