Description

The SureFire Scout Light Pro is a weapon-mounted light built for rifles and carbines where the operator needs reliable, high-output illumination without adding significant bulk to the rail. It suits both duty and home-defense builds where the light will see hard use and needs to hold up to it.

The output is shaped by a proprietary TIR lens rather than a standard reflector. That distinction matters in practice: a TIR lens integrates the primary beam and the surrounding spill light into a single optical element, producing a hybrid pattern that reaches out far enough for target identification at medium-to-long distances while keeping enough peripheral illumination that you maintain awareness of what is beside and behind the threat. It is not optimized for close-quarters at the expense of distance, nor the reverse.

The Low-Profile Mount is the other meaningful design choice here. It attaches directly to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny or M-LOK rails and allows the light body to sit as close to the rail as geometry permits. That matters when the light needs to share rail space with a laser aiming module or angled foregrip — the lower profile reduces interference and keeps the muzzle end of the weapon more manageable. Hardware for both rail types ships in the box.

The body is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum with a Mil-Spec Hard Anodized finish conforming to MIL-A-8625 Type III, Class 2 — the same specification used for military equipment expected to take abuse. IPX7 water resistance means the light can be submerged to one meter without ingress. Activation is through SureFire’s Z68 tailcap, which offers both momentary and constant-on modes and includes a protective shroud over the switch to prevent inadvertent activation. Two CR123A lithium batteries are included.
