The SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro is built for rifle and carbine operators who need to positively identify targets at long range — the kind of distances where a standard-output flood-pattern weaponlight falls short. Its defining characteristic is a tightly focused Turbo beam that concentrates output into a high-candela column rather than spreading it across a wide peripheral field. That trade-off is deliberate: you sacrifice some close-range situational awareness illumination in exchange for a beam that pushes usable light significantly further downrange, which is the correct exchange when the environment involves open terrain, long corridors, or any scenario where distance identification is the priority.

The 70,000 candela peak beam intensity is what drives that reach — candela measures concentrated beam intensity rather than total light output, and it is the candela figure, not lumens, that determines how far a weaponlight can push a readable return at distance.
