Description

The SureFire M640U Scout Light Pro in Mil-Spec Hard Anodized Tan is built for shooters who need a weapon-mounted light capable of reaching out to medium and longer ranges without sacrificing the peripheral spread that close-quarters work demands. That balance comes from SureFire’s TIR lens, which shapes the output into a focused center beam while preserving enough surround light to maintain situational awareness at the edges of the beam — so you are not locked into a narrow spot when the situation changes quickly.

The LED is rated at 11,300 candela of peak beam intensity, which translates to a working distance of 213 meters — enough to positively identify a threat well before it closes. At the same time, 1,000 lumens of total output means that spill light is genuinely useful, not just incidental. The light runs for 1.25 hours on two CR123A lithium batteries, which are included.

The Low-Profile Mount is one of the more practical design decisions here. It accepts both MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and M-LOK hardware — both sets are included — and its hinged swing arm lets you dial in the exact fore-and-aft position relative to your rail without adding adapters or shimming anything. That adjustability matters when you are working around a pressure switch, a vertical grip, or a handstop already occupying the rail.

The body is machined from aerospace aluminum and finished to MIL-A-8625 Type III, Class 2 hard anodize. O-ring seals give it an IPX7 water resistance rating. The Z68 tailcap provides both momentary and constant-on output through a push-button with a protective shroud to prevent inadvertent activation. The light is designed and built in the USA.
