Description

The SureFire Infrared Scout Light Pro in Mil-Spec Hard Anodized Tan is built for shooters running night-vision equipment who still need a capable white-light option in the same package. Rather than swapping between separate devices, this light lets you rotate the bezel to switch between white light and infrared output on the fly, with no IR filter to lose or install in the field. That single-body solution matters when rail space is contested by a laser aiming module or other accessories.

The Low-Profile Mount is central to why this platform is more practical than earlier Scout configurations. It attaches securely to either MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny or M-LOK rails and allows the light body to be repositioned along the rail without requiring additional hardware, which makes co-witnessing with a LAM considerably cleaner. The mount keeps the light low enough that it does not meaningfully affect the weapon’s balance or snag on gear.

On the IR side, the 860 nm wavelength sits in the range that standard image-intensification tubes pick up well, and the TIR lens shapes the output into a pattern that extends far enough for positive identification at medium to long range while maintaining enough spill to preserve awareness of the surrounding environment. White light output is concentrated enough to be useful at distance rather than simply flooding the immediate area. Activation runs through a Z68 shrouded tailcap, which supports both momentary and constant-on operation and is compatible with other SureFire Scout tailcap accessories, including remote pressure switches. The body is machined aluminum with O-ring seals rated to IPX7, so the light will handle rain and brief submersion without concern.
