Description

The M640DFT-PRO is built for shooters who need to positively identify targets at distance in low light — particularly those running longer rifle platforms where reach matters more than flood coverage. Its Turbo Series reflector produces a tightly focused beam rather than the wide spill of a standard Scout Light, which means less backscatter when you’re working around cover and more usable light on a target at extended range. Powered by the included SF18650 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, it delivers 100,000 candela of peak beam intensity; swap to two 123A lithium primaries and that figure drops to 90,000 candela, giving you a meaningful backup option without carrying a dedicated spare light.

The dual-fuel design is a genuine practical consideration: if your SF18650 is depleted and you don’t have a charger on hand, two widely available 123A batteries keep the light running. Lumen output and runtime both step down with 123A cells, so the tradeoff is real, but the system functions rather than going dark. That kind of redundancy matters in field conditions where resupply isn’t guaranteed.

Mounting is handled by SureFire’s Low-Profile Mount, which lets you shift the light’s position along the rail to work around other accessories — a useful adjustment on a rifle already running a vertical grip, hand stop, or laser unit. Both MIL-STD-1913 and M-LOK hardware ship in the box. The aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard anodized and O-ring sealed to IPX7, meaning it can be submerged to one meter for up to thirty minutes. Activation runs through a ZE68 momentary/constant-on tailcap switch with a protective shroud, and the light is compatible with SureFire’s accessory remote switch lineup for pressure-pad or inline switching setups.
