Description
The SureFire DS-SR07-TN is a waterproof switch assembly designed for most Scout Light WeaponLights — it is the component that puts reliable, repeatable activation where your hand actually is, rather than where the light happens to be mounted. If you run a Scout Light forward on the rail, the integrated tail-cap switch becomes inconvenient to reach under stress; this assembly solves that by adding a 7-inch remote tape switch that you can position wherever your support hand naturally rests.
The system is built around two independently operating switches. The DS00 click-on/off pushbutton lives in the rear cap housing, and the remote tape switch — bonded into a MIL-STD-1913-compatible overmolded housing — provides both a momentary-on pressure pad and its own click-on/off function. Because the two switches operate independently, losing activation at one point does not leave you without light control; you still have a fully functional second path. A system disable feature is also included, which allows you to render the light inert when needed without physically removing the assembly.
The housing is two-piece and O-ring sealed throughout, keeping moisture out of the electrical connections. The halves swivel relative to each other, so you can dial in the exact rotational position of the integrated pushbutton without being locked into a fixed orientation. The tape switch housing snaps onto any Picatinny rail section, and the 7-inch cable gives enough slack to route across typical handguard widths without pulling tight. The Tan finish matches SureFire’s own color designation for this variant. Compatible with most Scout Light WeaponLights; SureFire specifically excludes the Micro Scout Light Pro.
