Description

The SureFire X400 Turbo is built for duty and serious self-defense use on handguns and long guns where identifying a threat at distance matters as much as putting light on it. It is not a general-purpose illumination tool — the Turbo designation signals a specific optical choice: a precision-engineered reflector that concentrates output into a tight, far-reaching beam pattern optimized for positive threat identification at ranges where a flood-heavy beam would fall short. That trade-off is deliberate. If you need broad area coverage at close quarters, a different X-Series model suits you better; if you need to reach out and confirm what you are looking at before making a decision, the Turbo’s beam geometry earns its place.

Beneath the primary light sits a 5-milliwatt red laser that lets you acquire a target without referencing your iron sights — useful when shooting from a retention position or any non-standard stance where a sight picture is difficult to establish. The laser’s adjustment screws use Nylok inserts, which resist backing out under sustained recoil without requiring the shooter to re-zero after hard use. Ambidextrous switching gives either hand momentary or constant activation of the light and laser independently.

The body is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and finished in Mil-Spec hard anodizing for scratch and corrosion resistance. O-ring and gasket sealing make the unit weatherproof in field conditions. The quick-detach rail clamp accepts both Picatinny and Universal rail formats, and the unit is compatible with SureFire’s optional remote pressure switch accessories for installations where the standard body controls are not easily reached. Power comes from two CR123A lithium cells included in the package.
