Description

The SureFire XC3 is built for shooters who need a duty-capable weaponlight on a compact or concealed-carry handgun without adding bulk that fights against a holster draw. Its slim profile was deliberately sized to work with a broad range of commercially available holsters, so you are not forced into a purpose-built rig the moment you mount it.

Output is 550 lumens shaped into a Hybrid Beam — a pattern that combines a defined center spot with enough surrounding wash to keep peripheral awareness intact at the distances where a handgun is actually employed. That balance matters: a pure spot beam loses the edges of a room, while a pure flood loses reach. Peak beam intensity reaches 7,200 candela, giving the center enough throw to identify a threat before closing distance. Effective range is rated at 170 meters.

The switching is fully ambidextrous and operates in both momentary and constant-on modes, with a tactile feel that lets you distinguish activation state by touch rather than by looking away from a target. A disable feature prevents accidental activation during storage or transport. The body is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and finished in Mil-Spec hard anodize to the MIL-A-8625 Type III, Class 2 standard — the same specification used in high-wear military applications — and the unit is gasket-sealed to IPX7, meaning it remains functional after submersion.

Power comes from a single SF123A lithium battery that loads from the front of the unit, so you can swap cells without removing the light from the rail. Runtime on a fresh battery is 1.75 hours of continuous output. At 2.65 ounces with battery installed, the XC3 adds little to the overall carry weight of a compact pistol.
