Description
The Timney Ultimate Builder’s Kit (UBK) Pivot Trigger is aimed at Glock Gen 3 and Gen 4 owners who want a meaningful trigger improvement without handing the entire job to a drop-in cassette. The kit supplies the critical components that govern how a Glock’s trigger system actually feels and functions, letting a builder keep what works from the host pistol while replacing the parts that matter most.
The trigger shoe itself is machined from aluminum in a straight-face profile, which moves the pivot point lower compared to a curved shoe and gives the finger a more consistent contact surface through the entire pull stroke. The safety blade is integrated as an internal pivoting design rather than the tab style on the factory trigger, which removes the tactile interruption some shooters notice mid-stroke on a standard Glock.
The striker, connector, and safety plunger are stainless steel and finished in NP3, an electroless nickel and PTFE compound that reduces surface friction at the contact points where trigger reset and pull weight are largely determined. Treating those three components together means the friction reduction is consistent across the whole firing cycle rather than isolated to one part. Pull weight is rated at 2.5 to 3 pounds, which is lighter than a standard Glock factory trigger and appropriate for a pistol used in precision or competition contexts where a heavier pull would mask the shooter’s technique. Compatibility is limited to medium-frame, double-stack Gen 3 and Gen 4 pistols, so single-stack and subcompact frames are outside its design envelope.
