Description
Timney’s Ultimate Builder’s Kit trigger system is aimed at Glock Gen 5 owners who want to retain the platform’s mechanical reliability while replacing the factory trigger feel with something more deliberate and consistent. It fits medium-frame, double-stack Gen 5 Glocks, so it slots into the most common carry and competition configurations without requiring frame modification.
The trigger itself is straight aluminum, which positions the finger at a fixed point across the full pull cycle and removes the lateral movement that a curved shoe introduces — useful for shooters who want a repeatable reference point under time pressure. The internal pivoting safety is integrated into the trigger blade rather than relying solely on the striker-fired drop-safety geometry, maintaining the layered passive-safety design that makes Glock-pattern pistols viable for duty and carry use.
Both the striker and connector are stainless steel finished in NP3, a co-deposit of electroless nickel and PTFE. NP3 reduces surface friction between bearing surfaces without requiring additional lubrication, which matters for a component that cycles thousands of times and lives inside a sealed frame cavity. Pull weight runs between 2.5 and 3 pounds — lighter than a stock Glock trigger, which typically breaks above 5 pounds — so the reduction is substantial enough to affect split times and shot-to-shot consistency for anyone doing performance work. The “Builder’s Kit” designation means this is sold as the pivot trigger assembly intended for use within a complete UBK build rather than as a standalone drop-in; verify compatibility with any other UBK components before ordering.
