Description

The TriggerTech AR15 Competitive is a drop-in two-stage trigger built for shooters who want a lighter, cleaner break without sacrificing reliability in demanding conditions — 3-gun competitors, precision AR shooters, and anyone who has outgrown a mil-spec trigger pull. The pull weight is fixed at 3.5 lbs, split between a 0.75 lb first stage and a 2.75 lb second stage, and that fixed configuration is a deliberate choice: it eliminates the variability that adjustable triggers can introduce when exposed to temperature swings, vibration, or heavy round counts.

The defining characteristic of the Competitive series is TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology, which removes the sliding contact between sear surfaces that conventional triggers rely on. Because the key engagement surfaces do not rub against each other, the trigger does not depend on polishing, coating condition, or lubrication state to deliver a consistent pull — meaning the feel at round 5,000 should track closely with round one. Zero measured creep in the second stage means the break is not masked by travel you have to push through before anything happens. Overtravel is held under 0.015 inches and reset under 0.030 inches, both short enough that follow-up shots do not require repositioning the finger significantly between breaks.

The housing is machined from 7075 aluminum and the internal components are 440C stainless steel finished in PVD Black — Physical Vapour Deposition, a hard coating bonded to the steel surface rather than applied over it, which preserves dimensional consistency while adding corrosion resistance. The trigger fits standard AR-15 lower receivers using mil-spec 0.154-inch trigger pins. It is covered by TriggerTech’s lifetime warranty.
